Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare an RV or camper/trailer for transportation?

All doors and windows in the vehicle, including cabinets, need to be tied or taped closed. Every loose or fragile object should be taken off the walls, including mirrors and pictures. Remove all objects from cabinets, including utensils! Kitchen drawers need to be taped and tested, in case they extend or fall out. Same for bathroom doors and cabinets. Check and refill all fluids, including windshield wiper fluid, coolant, oil, brake & transmission fluid. If the move is going to occur during cold weather months or cold terrain such as mountainous regions, make sure there's enough antifreeze in the vehicle and that water has been drained to prevent damage. Check and repair all fluid leaks before shipping your RV. Make sure you have secured all attachments such as hitches and tow bars. Make certain that the brakes are functional.

What payment forms do you accept?

The deposit is paid in certified check, money order, credit card or cash. The remaining amount is due on delivery in money order, cash or any other certified funds.

Do you move class A & C trailer/motor homes?

Unlike Class B motorhomes or 5th wheel trailers, Class A homes require the transporter to offer driveway service, which is something we don't offer at this time.

How far ahead do I schedule RV transport?

The earlier the better, to make sure drivers are available for pick-up. We typically schedule pick-up between one and seven days after you make the RV available for pick-up. If you need a move immediately, call us and we will see how quickly we can schedule the move. For best results, we recommend ordering at least 5-10 days before pick-up. 3/4 of our RV transport customers order pick-up as soon as it's available, and ordering in advance will give you an advantage & allow you to beat the crowd.

How much does RV transport cost?

Price is widely variable, and depends heavily on RV size, class, service level and destination. Fuel is another major concern for auto shipping services, so your final price will fluctuate based on how much gas costs at the time of the move.

What is the RV shipping process?

After you place an order and submit your paperwork, we will schedule RV transport according to availability. When a truck is assigned to the job, you'll be notified via email with pickup and drop-off estimates. Our drivers will call between 12 and 24 hours ahead, so you can be present at pick-up. The driver will inspect the vehicle upon pick-up and fill out a Bill of Lading, which will be signed by the driver and the customer. Upon drop-off, a second inspection is completed and compared with the original.
